Related Resources

The Maple Press manufacturing plant has an extensive bindery operation which produces casebound and papercover books.

Maple Press produces a variety of bind styles including smyth-sewn, notch (fiberbond), and grindoff (adhesive or perfect) binding.

We can handle trim sizes from
4-1/4" x 6-1/4" to 9-1/2" x 12", enabling us to manufacture a wide variety of book projects.

Complete casemaking, stamping, and finishing capabilities further enhance our offerings.

Component Design

To ensure a quality product and to avoid additional costs, all papercovers, bookjackets, preprints, endsheets and stamping dies must follow specific requirements, tailored for each individual title.

Maple Press provides helpful tools to assist you with this process.

First, confirm the book specifications on your final estimate, including trim size, press type and binding style.

Then use the Maple Press Component Builder to quickly and easily create an illustrated, custom layout for your title.

The Important Information sheet provides additional information on component layouts, and your Sales Representative or Customer Service team member will be happy to assist you if you have any imposition questions.

Maple Press will be happy to supply your components, but if they will be produced by your own vendor, please refer to Printed Material Delivery Specifications for shipping information.

Material Supply Program

As a supplement to our Bindery capabilities, the Maple Press Supply Program provides a complete selection of cover materials, headbands, foils and endsheets for your production requirements.

Readily available to meet your schedule needs, they also are cost-effective due to our large volume purchasing power. Contact your Sales Representative for further information on this Maple Press advantage.
